Make a new design
Save it to your directory
Set units to inches
Use the rectangle tool, hold shift, make a 1 inch square
The shketch should be valid and appear filled.
Make two construction lines from the opposite corners.
Make a diagonal line in the bottom corner, parralel to the construction line. Dimension it to either 40 or 135 degrees.
Dimension it to 1/8" from the construction line
Select the line and choose "offset chain" from the line menu. Offset it 1/4 inch.
You could also use "irror Lines from the Line menu, use the construction line as the axis.
Add a line to the attraction points at the end of the two lines. Dimension that line to 1/4" from the corner.
Use the Delete Segment tool to remove the two segments at the corner of the block.
The sketch should fill.
You may want to extrude the block to 2" to make sure you have a valid sketch.
If you have problems, fix them and move on.
Select the three lines of the cut corner. Choose Mirror from the Line menu. Select the construction line going from bottom left to top right as the axis.
When the lines are in place, delete the extra corner segments.
The sketch should fill.
Add a construction line from the center of the block to the top of the block.
Select the three lines from the top left corner. Choose Mirror from the Line menu.
Select the new construction line as the axis.
Delete the two extra segments from the top right corner.
The sketch should fill.
Select the three lines you just mirrored. Choose Mirror from the Line menu.
Select the construction line going from top left to bottom right as the axis.
When the lines are in place, delete the extra corner segments.
The sketch should fill.
All the cut corners are made, you should be able to extrude the profile 2 inches.
Add the circle to the profile.
Use the circle tool, center the circle on the junction of the construction lines at the center of the block. The circle has a Diameter of 3/8 inch.
Print it on your border.
Show 4 views, Base, Frontal, Lateral and Isometric
Dimension one of the corners.
Dimension the depth of the extrusion.
Show the width of the block.
Show the diameter of the hole.
Use fractions rather than decimals on your measurements.
Use 2:1 scale on Sheet Setup. The page will fill with your design.
